Home Assessment and Modification

If you or a loved one are finding it increasingly difficult to access your home, our experienced occupational therapists can help. We visit people all over the Perth Metropolitan area and beyond.

Our aim is to assess your needs and adapt, modify or design an environment that maximises your safety, functional capacity and independence.

This can include:

• Minor home adjustments such as installing grab rails and ramps.
• Prescribing equipment and advice to make daily tasks safer or easier.
• Hob or bathtub removal to create a level access shower.
• Recommendations for major ramps.
• Recommendations for installation of stair lifts.
• Remodelling of kitchen, bathrooms and entire home environments to ensure accessibility.

We are familiar with the Australian Standards for home modification and can liaise with builders and architects to ensure that any home modifications will meet your needs.

We are familiar with an extensive range of specialised equipment and products and have excellent working relationships with suppliers in the Perth Metropolitan Area.  We can organise trials of equipment and assist with deciding on what is best for you.
